Regarding our contest, Shrink Boutique is not on b.s.

There's seems to be some doubt that as to what our winner gets if they win, as suggested in the rude message below sent to us today. Here's the deal. We are a legit business that has created legit rules for our contest. Yea that's right we will pay the winner for each t-shirt sold. We are definitely not here to scam you, the artist but rather participate in a creative community and provide a platform for young ambitious designers in a real-life setting.
As for Steven, big-up to all my haters.

And what? We have your word (on Craigslist, no less) that you will actually pay the winning designer? Gimme a fuckin' break!

We almost forgot...

We attended the Allure of Couture show in Millennium Park. Significantly underfunded compared to the Gen Art show(no goodies!) which is weird since Gen Art designers are not as seasoned as couture designers. But here's the recap.

This was a cool dress but the designer's name escapes me.

Nothing like a well-knit sweater and crafty necklace.

Highlight of the show a mon avis. Nick Cave's "Osh Kosh B'Gosh" gown. Just amazing.

Billy Atwell had an unconventinal approach to runway shows. The models were bearfoot and walked slowly to rock music. No diva horse trots for this designer.

More Atwell. No wonder this perfectionist teaches at the Art Institute.

Jack Cave, of course related to Nick, gave us his best "Color Me Bad meets Abercrombie and Fitch designs" This was the most surprising and entertaining part of the show.

My favorite look from Jack Cave.

Then it was time for the woman that dresses Michelle Obama, Maria Pinto.
This coat was stunning.

This was one of the few actual couture dresses in the show. Thanks Maria.

James de Colon makes a fierce gown.

My favorite overall line was Redshift by Kristin Mariani Frieman. Cozy sweaters and layers. She presented the most wearable pieces.

More Redshift.

I am a sucker for plaid.

Gen Art Chicago, hello!

It was like a pop-up Bryant Park last night during Gen Art's Fresh Faces runway show in Millennium Park. The Midwest will always be the Midwest but Chicago tried to step up its fashion scene last night. Here's what we caught from the first row;).

Great shoes in the check-in line. Nice to see leather skirts are back.

The "I'm cool contest" outside the tent. Cornrows? Really?

Ah, finally inside. Time to scramble for a free drink.

How's it going back there?

Those Landon twins were across from us. How they saw the show without phonebooks is beyond me.

It was all this buzz about Pete Wentz and Clandestine Industries but he showed his face for 4 minutes and disappeared to get a super pregnant Ashley out the door as the show started. So technically, celebs were there?

Finally the show. This craziness that is actually 999 fake fingers was the most inspired thing in the show. Kudos to Frei Designs.

Another cool Frei look.

Black models are so in right now. The dress was by?????

The line Shorty was cutesy and Hawaiian looking but the best part was the hair. Crazy.

Then it was the dudes turn and this was refreshing. Philips Sparks is the designer's name, I think. Just happy to see men.

Cute.

Yum.

More yum.

Now the best part. Free stuff from the goody bag marketing to professionals between the age of 25-37 that dine out once a week, make over $45,000 per year and consider themselves trendsetters. Yeah! Go Aki go.

Shih Tzu not included.
